I WAS going to post all of this on the particular blog whence it came. But I remembered my last comments there and I know it would be promptly deleted as Mr. Peddie prefers to delete contrary opinions instead of addressing them. Because he's so "wise" I guess his opinion cannot go challenged on his blog. (Someone might think about alternative viewpoints! OH NO!) I'm also guessing that he'll see this one way or another.

Hey Peddie: There were AT LEAST two loaded, deadly weapons at that party you attended last week. Are you terrified in retrospect? If not, why not?
As for "who needs..." the simple answer is "Anyone that needs to shoot someone at any given time". Like when rapists come for your wife and daughter. I'm sure the Wichita Horror victims would have liked to have had a gun or three in the house too.

And if resisting violence only leads to escalation, how do you explain the ending to Appalachian Law School shootings or how the Utah Mall Shooter was stopped earlier this year?
Funnily enough, Boston was trying to ban machete sales because of wetback gang violence that used them. But that's so silly, to think that knife sales could be banned! Ridiculous!
Quick question #1: How hard it is to buy pot for a college student? How much harder do you really think it would be to buy two pistols illegally were guns totally banned in this country? If you think "it would be really hard", you're quite simply an idiot. The UK has banned guns and their gun crime has gone through the roof. But we can't let FACTS interfere, can we?
ASIDE: Stupidly, the UK's banning of guns came along with a massive coddling of the criminal class, so crooks have virtually NOTHING to fear! The cops there routinely put people defending themselves from attacks - even with corroborating witnesses - IN JAIL! The government actually put out statements recommending that victims of violent attacks ROLL THEMSELVES INTO BALLS TO PROTECT THEMSELVES FROM BODILY HARM! I can easily see elitist morons advocating such laws here. After all, it's not a rapist's fault, it was "society" that did it, right?
Quick question #2: What's the history of the murder rate in DC since their gun ban started around 30 years ago?
Quick question #3: Why don't criminals rob gun stores? Or police stations? Or gun ranges?
Quick question #4: Why did the Slope attack VT last month? Because he knew his chances of being shot dead by staff or students was virtually ZERO. Because any student caught carrying had to be expelled and any staff carrying fired.
None of this isn't hard to figure out. At all. Unless you're a gun-control advocate like Peddie, Sarah Brady, Hillary Clinton or any other advocate of leaving the citizens defenseless against assault, rape and murder.
Criminals don't like to risk getting shot. They're not completely dim. That's why they LOVE gun bans.

He also must not watch any independent films, like Consternate because it was never sent to the MPAA for a rating! Right?

Seriously: I would guess Peddie thinks himself above the law. That HE can decide at 2am whether or not to speed on 465. Why? Because the speed limit is too fucking slow, as everyone knows. But if someone's caught, they "deserve" the ticket. They must! Because they're too stupid to know how to drive!
BTW: "Double nickel" was a bunch of stupid bullshit that the feds came up with in the Carter administration, trying to get the population to use less gas. It has NOTHING to do with safety and never did. I regularly drive at least 70 in a car on 465 without putting anyone at risk. There's nothing immoral about doing so and there shouldn't be anything illegal about it either.
