is that they haven't a clue about the nature of power.

Those that have it, like it. And they typically want more and more, as much as they can take without having to pay a serious price for it.

Sure, you can have your government dictate that you can't discriminate against wetbacks when you sell your house or whatever.

But that very same government will turn on you and fuck your ass into oblivion the second the bureaucrats there feel like they can get away with it. And of course, the second they find a "good reason" to do so.

You know, like maybe you like pot? Or porn, cigarettes, booze, walks in nature, having a pet, pizza or having casual sex.

Whatever your habits or vices, there's SOME group out there lobbying to get rid of it.

Better to keep the government smaller so it's harder for them to fuck anyone.

But such archaic views "just don't work anymore", right?

I just hope the shooting war starts sooner than later.

Or we get a government that just leaves us alone.
