Speaking to someone advocating Obama's moronic plans for more control over our lives:
"You say you "still believe that well-spent government money can in theory supercharge an economy out of recession", but your stubborn faith is less well-placed than that of any religion. At least the Christian believes in the absence of what you would consider any positive evidence; you believe despite the fact that there is at least 1,700 years of negative evidence demonstrating the precise opposite. Think about the factors that would all have to be lined up properly for it to work - the politicians unconcerned with their reelections, the absence of competing interest groups - and then think about how low the probability is that a plan that is even theoretically targeted at the right areas will be drawn up in the first place."
