BURLESON, Texas - Youngsters in a suburban Fort Worth school district are being taught not to sit there like good boys and girls with their hands folded if a gunman invades the classroom, but to rush him and hit him with everything they've got — books, pencils, legs and arms.
“Getting under desks and praying for rescue from professionals is not a recipe for success,” said Robin Browne, a major in the British Army reserve and an instructor for Response Options, the company providing the training to the Burleson schools.

It is way past time for this. Allowing concealed carry permit holding teachers to carry at school (and universities for that matter) is a good start. Active resisitance is another needed step.
Yeah, you likely will have some kids and/or teachers killed. But is it better to have two kids killed resisting or 10 raped and executed like sheep?
During the Columbine shooting affair, one of the asshole killers unloaded both barrels of a double-barrelled shotgun. And no one charged him. More killing ensued.
Remember the Shoe Bomber asswipe? He wasn't stopped by the precious Air Marshalls in their finely-tailored and pressed 3 piece suits (because they're not ALLOWED to be under cover AND they have to declare themselves to the airline when they show up).
The folks held captive are the ones with their lives at risk, not the SWAT teams sitting around debating while letting the hostages die. They should resist and kill their attackers.
I just hope they kill the cowardly bastards instead of capturing them alive and having us spend tax dollars on their trials and incarceration.

This is good news, hopefully it won't be shutdown by some socialists and kumbaya fools, and it should be expanded to all schools...
