One can hold those responsible for the results of disarming law-abiding citizens. Namely, the amount of suffering inflicted by criminals on the general population.

It is immoral to disarm free men. The idea that gun bans work should be absurd to any individual currently not retarded or illiterate. You don't have to like guns to admit that legal gun bans do little to deter gun violence.

In fact, the opposite is quite easily proven. Localities enacting gun bans invite violence. It is a statistical fact. DC, Chicago, NYC... how much more proof do you need? To put a finer point on it: How many innocent victims' corpses would it take for anti-gun folks to admit they're wrong?

Gun banners and their supporters cause innocent, law-abiding citizens to die. PERIOD. Crooks ain't stupid. They look for the easy prey. Gun wielders are not typically considered easy prey.

Just like it's better 10 guilty men go free than one innocent man languish in prison, it's better 100 scumbags get shot dead by the non-criminals than one decent person die because they're helpless in the face of evil.

And then there's that annoying 2nd amendment thing...

In all candor I DO despise Clinton. There's no shortage of my loathing of the bastard and his dyke and I hope to urinate on his grave someday. (Watch Hillary get his ass cremated just to piss me off.)

Besides that, the reason I post this was spurred by this quote from a news account of this incident.

Upon hearing that, I almost went off. I really wanted to yell "Gun do NOT 'go off'". They are FIRED. That stupid kid KILLED his friend. Through malice or just plain ol' stupidity. Get it through your thick skulls."

But I didn't. I doubt it would have been productive. They think I'm crazy enough there already. And I couldn't think of a constructive way to address the situation. Neither is all that smart in the first place.

Good Sign (I think)

I had another dream this morning.

I was riding a bicycle in a some city and out of nowhere a wetback started shooting me. He struck my shoulder and another shot somewhere else. I tried to escape but he bird-dogged me, keeping up on foot.

Then I remembered I had a gun on me, stopped and drew. The WB freaked but didn't back away so I took aim. But my body was twitching from my wounds. I kept a bead on him and noted the "backstop". There was a Hooters and some other stores behind my assailant and I wasn't sure of my shot. I didn't want to hit someone eating wings!

So the beaner kept bobbing and weaving until I found a "good" shot.

Then I woke up.

Not that I don't have some very serious issues with my dream self's behavior. But I really do like that my subconscious is being a conscientious shooter.

I Can't Find My Gun!

On the net, that is.

I have a Taurus Millennium PT145 .45ACP pistol. And I cannot find a picture of it on the internet. HERE is the model that mine is.



But it's not the same weapon. It's the same length and height, but the taper under the barrel tip isn't the same. And mine has a light rail in front of the triger guard.

Mine doesn't say "Pro" on the safety side as this pic does, but it does say it after the model number on the other side.

And the sides of the front sight are differently shaped too.

Mine has the "straight-8" sights, which I thought was supposed to be a new addition to the Taurus guns in recent years.

I just wonder what's up with my gun and why it doesn't match the one on the website.

Hmmmmm... I did a quick search and this guy has one in the two-tone that looks like mine, but has the old style sights. I guess mine might be an "in-betweener" model between this one and the newest version. Maybe that's why mine was only $299, cuz it was a closeout?

Ah, well. Whatever. It still rocks.
