I Hope The Celtics Win The Championship Next Season

I got a voicemail from my nephew, Drew this afternoon. The reception on his end must have sucked because I could barely make out anything he said. But I THOUGHT I heard him say "Reggie! Reggie! Reggie! Reggie! Reggie! Reggie! Reggie!"

So I checked out ESPN.com and found out that Reggie Miller is thinking of un-retiring and going to Boston.

Now I'm not an NBA fan. I stopped caring watching the refs fucks the Pacers in the Playoffs year after year. And while I don't think the Pacers had the team needed to take the Finals vs. LA, they were still fucked by the refs. And that killed my interest in the Pacers completely.

That's my biggest gripe about the NBA: preferential treatment to the stars. I don't care what ANYONE says, the superstars like Shaq and MJ got TONS of calls they didn't deserve. Not every time they touched the ball, but enough to easily give them some games they shouldn't have won.

And that's why the recent refs scandal didn't faze me. Cuz the NBA has manipulated the outcomes of games for well over a decade via the refs.

All that said, I really hope Reggie goes there and they clean up all season and sweep the Finals against LA.

I loved Reggie on the Pacers. But I would like to see him get the ring. I really hope he gets it.

I won't watch, but it would be funny. Just cuz it would annoy Shane, for one thing.

The NBA scandal is no surprise to me in the least. A while ago, Mark Cuban made a very strong case statistically that the NBA fixes games by putting certain refs into games where the series needs to be extended.

Morally, there's no difference between what this ref Donaghy's done than what the NBA has done. Both manipulated the ref system to make more money.
