I Saw This Happen...

... sort of. I walked over to CVS and Panera from work instead of riding the cycle because I thought it would be quicker than walking to the parking lot and then riding over and then back.

Turns out I'm wrong and it would have been quicker to ride.

But if I had, I wouldn't have got to see it happen.

I was walking on 56th Street and heard a loud rumble. I think I felt the ground shake. I thought it was thunder. Then I saw the HUGE pillar of smoke from north by northwest. I figured it had to be at least 2 miles out.

I got up to my office and checked the news and sure enough: Explosion! At I465 & I69. Propane tanker. Over 3 miles as the crow flies and the ground shook that far out. Not as bad as the aftershocks from the earthquake a few years back, but still!

I'm not a fan of the show as House is (was?) a jerk and I just plain didn't like how the show was written.

But I have heard zero about this except on LewRockwell.com. I cannot help but imagine the thought processes of those keeping quiet about this.

The DEA flexes its muscles to the point where it feels within its rights to infringe on the writing of a fucking TV show... one has to wonder just how often this happens if it's not noteworthy at this point.

I also wonder if the DEA gives kickbacks to shows that take the other side? I specifically remember Frank Pembleton on NBC's Homicide going after a hospice doctor that helped patients die.

Hey, maybe someone could dig up how this all started under the last administration and therefore it's all Jorge Busho's fault?

Then maybe it would get a little coverage in our "watchdog" media.
