At 1:55 on "Foxy Lady", is Hendrix hawking up a loogie and spitting??????? My version is from the Wayne's World (I) soundtrack, so others might have different mixes. Kind cool (and gross)!

Look I'm Really Sorry For What You're About To Read...

NOT!!!!

I take NO responsibility for what happens if you read this...

I do not endorse doing anything listed in the below link because:

1 - It's gross. Really gross.
2 - It contains things that could be - in some lights - be seen as being degrading to women. (I can hear someone screaming it now: "COULD? Whiskey-Tango-Foxtrot!")

Although:

3 - It's fucking hilarious. I almost puked reading it just now.
4 - It's TOTAL guy humour. Most females would be pissed off to read it, I would guess. (So Rachal: It's right up your alley!)

So if you still intend to read it, wait til a few hours after you've eaten and click

Them Secret Agent Squirrels ARE Sneaky...

"To mask their odor from rattlesnakes, California ground squirrels and rock squirrels chew on sloughed-off snake skin and smear it on their fur, according to a new study."

Secured My COMMANDER Rank!

I just wanted to brag that I've wasted hours of my life playing Halo 3. I broke a level 35 tonight, so I have guaranteed that if I keep playing til I get 300 wins, I will have my Commander rank waiting.

Now getting up to 40 is ... possible, 45 is very unlikely and 50 virtually impossible. But what's life without a challenge, right?

EDIT: Earned my Major this weekend too. I'm on my way. And I got up to level 38 on slayer before getting knocked down to 36. But we've got time. And if we don't, we have bigger things to worry about, right?

Great! Now I'm Gonna Need Another Fridge!

To hold all my home-brewed beer! My brother Dave bought me a home-brewing kit for Christmas. The mind boggles with possibilities AND I have a home-brewing store a few miles down the road.

I don't see my weight going down anytime soon unless I start seriously exercising...

Luckily, I can only make one 2 gallon batch every 2 weeks. That's 21 12oz. bottles. That's three bottles every 2 days if I don't share. And I likely won't.

Two and a half six-packs... that's around $21. This might just be seriously economical here...

SHANE! If you would be so kind, please start saving some empty beer bottles for me. Both twist-offs and NON-twist-offs would be fine until I find out more info. The kit comes with caps for plastic bottles but I'm a beer snob and only drink out of glass bottles.

DAVE! I fear you've created a monster already and I haven't even started brewing yet!
But I love you anyway!

"What Do I Do When I Get A Boner?"

Give Away ALL The Music, Why Don't You?

Radiohead letting folks name their own price.

Shane and I talked about this some time ago. I said it's nuts because most would just d/l it and pay nothing. And I was right. Most people are cheap bastards.

The really funny thing is that they said they've made more money off of this album's paid downloads than they made from any of their previous ones.

Terry Bozzio (drummer) said something along the same lines. He said he can make more money selling 100 CDs direct from his own web site than he can signing with any label. Because Terry Bozzio's fans are going to find and buy his stuff, no matter the source.

Interesting times ahead for the music world.

HELP!

If you're good at Sudoku, can you actually do this one? I don't know where I'm missing something, as I can almost always do the 5 star ones on this site. But this one... I'm hosed.

(EDIT: That particular date's puzzle is gone now.)

SUDOKU

EDIT:

First off, many thanks to Waterboy for his patience and using small words to explain things to my thick-headed self.

Secondly: I have a mental block with Suduko, I don't like to do the "a/b" or "branching" technique where you "guess" a block and do the "if/then" procedure.

I look at it as cheating, even though it's a perfectly fine technique and I know I'm limiting my success in the game by doing so.

"Drinking stories that put yours to shame"

From HERE.

4. The worst aftertaste in history

In 1805, British Admiral Horatio Nelson was killed during the Battle of Trafalgar off the coast of Spain. Most sailors were simply put to rest at sea, but as an admiral, Nelson had to be brought back to England for an official burial.

To preserve his body during the voyage home, the second-in-command stored Nelson's body in the ship's vat of rum and halted all liquor rations to the crew. Not a bad idea, but when the ship reached port, officials went to retrieve Nelson's body and found the vat dry.

Disregarding good taste (in every sense), the crew had been secretly drinking from it the entire way home. After that, naval rum was referred to as Nelson's Blood.

This Makes My Top Ten Grossest Jokes List

A young cowboy walks into a seedy cafe in
Western Oklahoma. He sits at the counter and
notices an old cowboy with his arms folded staring
blankly at a full bowl of chili. After fifteen
minutes of just sitting there staring at it, the
young cowboy bravely asks the old cowpoke, 'If you
ain't gonna eat that, mind if I do?'

The older cowboy slowly turns his head toward
the young wrangler and in his best Okie manner says,
'Nah, go ahead.'

Eagerly, the young cowboy reaches over and
slides the bowl over to his place and starts
spooning it in with delight. He gets nearly down to
the bottom and notices a dead mouse in the chili.

The sight was shocking and he immediately barfs up
the chili into the bowl.

The old cowboy quietly says,
'Yep, that's as far as I got, too.'

I Wish This Didn't Ring So True...

http://www.lewrockwell.com/vance/vance128.html

I think that we desire war. We want war to be permissible without sacrificing all the values we hold most dear. As a result, we endeavor to manipulate and twist those values and moral principles to accommodate that desire rather than recognize war as the moral offense it is.
~ Robert Brimlow

More thoughts on Christian responses to war and violence. Like I said, I wish this didn't ring true to me. But it does.

More stuff to weigh heavily upon my thoughts, I guess. That pile's getting awfully large.

Fun With Evolutionary Thought

http://www.lewrockwell.com/sardi/sardi75.html

I don't think I'd be nearly as skeptical about evolution if:

1) its adherents weren't so freaking dogmatic, psychotically defensive and ready to kill anyone that questions its problems and

2) if medical school and high school biology textbooks didn't use "proofs" long since proven to be fraudulent. (Embryology and moths)

Fun column though.

Has to be smoke and mirrors though, right? I mean "It's science!"

More Brilliance From Our Government Caretakers...

Just Iron My Shirt, Bitch!

From HERE.

"From small-town life to the national stage, from the boardroom to Capitol Hill, athletic contests help define what we mean in America by "success." And by keeping women from "playing with the boys" on the grounds that they are inherently inferior to men, society relegates them to second-class status in American life."

and

"In this forcefully argued book, Eileen McDonagh and Laura Pappano show in vivid detail how women have been unfairly excluded from participating in sports on an equal footing with men."

Just how intellectually dishonest is this shit? Leaving aside the simple fact that almost every single Olympic record set by females has been beaten by boys in high school... can you imagine this working anywhere?

What female is going to quality for any high school football team? In ANY high school? Basketball? Baseball? Come on! This is pathetic bleating by femerrhoid whining bitches.

Virtually no females would make any high school teams. And we'd have to endure endless bleating by these fucking sheep about how "discrimination" is why girls don't get on the field when the team is down in the 4th quarter. There would be ceaseless lawsuits alleging sexual bias. Even though every decision could be made on merit and still it would preclude girls from playing in almost every situation.

(YouTube has pulled my previously-linked video... it had three UNCONTESTED DUNKS in the WNBA All-Star game in a row. Two of them were missed. Again, HIGH SCHOOL boys dunk. The female ALL-STAR PROs cannot.)

Plus it forces guys to either beat women down or let them breeze by to score. And that's a no-win for the guys. Either they give away points or they beat the girls down like they were guys and get accused of roughing them up.

Want to blow this shit out of the water? Tell anyone espousing this garbage that you absolutely agree and think we should immediately integrate all prisons too.

Watch the backpedaling double-talking bullshit come out real quick.

I am so sick of lying liberal douches. They don't intend for one second to treat female equally. They just want ever-increasing reasons to bleat.

Sometimes I Hate This New Viewpoint Of Mine...

This whole Christianity thing... It haunts me. It makes me VERY hard on myself. It's awfully short of rewards NOW. I realize that the hard path is foretold. That it's the most rewarding... in the long run.

Then I realize I have a huge laundry list of sins I ain't committed in this life. That there are sinful pleasures of the flesh I've not REALLY tasted.

I wish I was more sure of the path I've chosen. And more sure that the rewards will be there later.

Man, it's late. I really need to get to sleep...

Pray for me if you get the chance, will ya?

Why You Cannot Trust The Police Part III

DJ says: "I got a speeding ticket today...apparently I earned it" (more or less)

But did you, DJ? I mean, really EARN it?

My first few tickets, I admit, were all my fault. A few speeding tickets, one red light I actually DID run. I even joked about running it with the guy in the car with me right before the red lights came on.

But I had one incident in a hick town on the way back from Chicago in 1999, in Merriville.

The cop there said I ran a red light after sitting there for a good while. Just sat at a red light, then ran it.

I could have sworn I didn't. And I really don't think I would have started running a red light for no reason.

But what recourse did I have? Taking time off of work to drive 2 hours away to a hostile court? Is that a battle I would EVER win?

I really doubted it. And I still do.

But what proof would the officer have had? His word? That's it? That's all it takes? Some cop's word to take my money out of my wallet and put points on my license?

That there is bullshit. But that's how the system is set up. Some cop says you did it, you did it. And you have to prove otherwise or pay up.

That's beyond fucked up.

I USED to be all gung-ho for the cops. I always took their side.

My eyes are opened.

To me, that wife in the previous taser video would have been justified in shooting that officer dead where he stood for risking her husbands's life so needlessly.

It stuns me sometimes to realize my POV has changed so much.

Why You Cannot Trust The Police Part II

Why You Cannot Trust The Police Part I

BS Video 1

BS Video 2

Comments on the videos with some very good points:

Commonsense24k | 2:30 p.m. Nov. 22, 2007
The cop was in motion at the time. A speed radar has to be stable to be effective. I didn't see a 40-mile an hour sign until after the cop began to pull this guy over, hence the argument "where's the sign at that you're talking about..." How was the guy speeding? He was pulled over before he reached the sign. Watch the video! The guy asked one question repeatedly... "What speed was I going...?" The officer didn't know. The victim’s vehicle wasn't past the 40-mile an hour mark, before he was pulled over. In the jurisdiction (the officer was in) could he have left the citation in the vehicle of the offender? He was quick and cold the way he tased! I bet none of you people would be on this cops side if this were your mother in the same situation. Did the cop have the option of leaving the un-signed citation with the guy and leaving the scene, or was he obligated to make the individual sign it? If he had a choice of either the two, but chose to tase; then, he should be fired and never allowed to work in law enforcement again!

and this as well:

Pedrous123 | 2:55 p.m. Nov. 22, 2007
Review of the Tape will indicate that the trooper pulled his vehicle in front of the temporary sign thereby blocking the sign from view of oncoming motorists. That is a tactic used in speed traps. The trooper did not designate the offense as e.g. 50 mph in a 40 mph zone. 'You were going kinda fast' doesn't cut it. The Utah State Motor Vehicle web site states that a motorist can calmly explain his actions to the officer at the time of the citation issuance and that the officer will listen to his side. Didn't happen here. The trooper told the motorist that he couldn't explain and that wasn't the place to argue his case.

When asked what his speed was the officer refused to tell him. The officer did not tell the motorist that signing the citation was not an admission of guilt.
He did not tell the motorist that failure to sign was grounds for arrest. He ordered him out of the car and told him he was under arrest. The troopers body language and demeanor were those of someone looking for confrontation.

the trooper's use of the Taser exhibited immature and dangerous conduct.

The asswipe spokesman whines about putting the tape out "prior to any litigation or review or IA investigation could compromise that case. That kinda our biggest concern."

Of course it's "their biggest concern"! It reminds me of Jim Carrey in "Liar, Liar":

JC: I object!
Judge: On what grounds?
JC: That's it's DEVASTATING TO MY CASE!"

What bullshit. So FACTS becoming public knowledge... is a bad thing? Well, for their POV yeah. I can see how having it known what dicks cops are IS a bad thing.
