How's This For Screwing Over The Taxpayers?

http://www.indystar.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=2006610280503

"The Colts' new home isn't the only football stadium area residents will be paying for in years to come.
Indianapolis still owes roughly $75 million in principal on bonds related to the construction of the 22-year-old RCA Dome.
That means that long after the Colts move into their new digs at Lucas Oil Stadium in 2008 and the Dome is demolished, millions of dollars a year in taxpayer dollars will continue to be used to reduce the debt on the old stadium.
How long? Thirteen years."

I told a friend some time ago that if there was SO much guaranteed money in building sports arenas, the owners would NEVER get involved with the government because they'd keep all the dough to themselves.

Stadium deals SCREW the public. Almost every time. Profitable businesses find private financial backers. But even the 2nd richest man in the world (the #2 guy at Microsoft) managed to screw the Seattle taxpayers in the mid 90s. Even though he was literally worth billions, he spent something like $50,000 to convince the public to give him millions for his stadium.

According to Wikipedia:
"After funding a special state-wide election for stadium financing, a new stadium for the Seahawks was passed and Allen purchased the team." (Emphasis mine)

and

"Seahawks owner Paul Allen funded about 30% of the stadium's cost out of his pocket, the remainder being paid by a funding package of user fees, sports lottery revenue, and taxes on related industries."

I wish the Colts had left and gone to LA a LONG time ago. I'm sick of seeing any business screw the public, this one's been doing it for over 20 years and there's no end in sight.

Paying for a building 13 years after it's gone. Wow. Any private business run the same way as any government would be bankrupt in no time flat.

Hey Y'all!!! Watch This!!!

Loyal Opposition Site

"And the brilliant Al Franken is all about open debate without violence, right? Nope, HE’d never tackle anyone. How did you cover that when it happened?

Please. Why didn’t the reporter ask that first Congresswoman if she still beats her husband? It’s as classy a question and as worthy of any response.

(Not that this will get past moderation…)"

I posted the above at this site. The site is a ridiculous feminist propaganda site that goes beyond self-parody, albeit unknowingly. The blogger thinks that refusing to answer class-less questions is a terrible thing.

If I were a politician faced with such vapid questions, I'd tell the little faggot-lover to bugger off. But that's just me.

Now, my comments will not be approved. But that's typical of such echo-chambers. At least Vox allows the opposition to post on his blog, even if (actually ESPECIALLY if) he considers them to be complete idiots.

But the Femmeroids CANNOT brook opposition and CANNOT allow dissenting views to appear on their blogs. Now, they'll occassionally let a super-timid post to appear in the attempt to look open-minded. But a truly brilliant dissection of their views?

Never happens, because they'll cowards. Pathetic.

Actually, I just need to stop visiting these stupid blogs. They make my brain hurt trying to understand their twisted views.

Michael J. Fox is an idiot.

Here's the proof.

I don't like Michael J. Fox. He makes us Michael J.'s look like dolts. And his recent performances have been VERY shaky.

Quote:
"On ABC's "This Week" with host George Stephanopoulos, (Fox) said today he got involved in the Missouri campaign because he supports Senate candidate Claire McCaskill, a proponent of Amendment 2.

While the bill purports to oppose human cloning, critics say experimentation on human embryos necessitates the procedure. Therefore, they call the measure deliberately deceptive, designed to get voters to support with the idea of opposing human cloning – even though they are, in fact, supporting it.

"I agree that we should have no human cloning," said Fox. "We're against that."

He also said he opposes the farming of human eggs to create the embryos.

"We're against egg farming, that notion," he said. "We agree on all of that."

END QUOTE

So how ELSE does one get the material for fetal stem cell research, McFly?

THIS shows the dangers of listening to celebrity sound bites instead of looking into things for yourself. McFly DOESN'T KNOW WHAT HE'S TALKING ABOUT.

But his near-complete ignorance doesn't stop him from spewing forth opinions. And some gullible fools will listen to his vapid views and let it change how they vote. Too bad George Snuffalupagus didn't challenge Fox's stupidity.

But old George probably doesn't mind babies being butchered for this research either.

Stupid Liquor Laws...

So the federal government cannot ban gun possession around schools. The Supreme Court said it was too much of a reach to use the Interstate Commerce Clause of the Constitution for this purpose.

But the feds still make it illegal to make moonshine for your own use. "It's a tax crime!"

Here. Scroll down to the bottom.

"26 U.S.C. 5178(a)(1)(B): No distilled spirits plant for the production of distilled spirits shall be located in any dwelling house, in any shed, yard, or inclosure connected with any dwelling house, or on board any vessel or boat, or on premises where beer or wine is made or produced, or liquors of any description are retailed, or on premises where any other business is carried on (except when authorized under subsection (b))."

How stupid is that? I can make beer or wine at home, but not whiskey. Not that I would anyway, I need to keep my good eye from going blind. But still, it's the principle of the thing.

More stuff to piss you off. Well, maybe it's just pissing ME off...

Here.

I bought two 1.75L bottles of liquor a few weeks ago. One was Makers Mark whiskey, the other Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum. I paid $35.99 for the MM and $19.99 for the SJ. The federal excise liquor tax on the MM was $5.62 and the tax on the SJ was $5.74 according to my calculations.

So I got to pay $55.98 instead of $44.62 (BEFORE Indiana Sales tax). That's a full 25% higher price due to the f***ing Federal Government ramming it up me arse.

I'll be thinking of that every time I sip my liquor. My only (very, very, very small) consolation is that since it's based on volume and proof, when you drink more expensive liquors, the percentage of that cost going to the excise tax is smaller.

Like I said, VERY small consolation.

Some Football Thoughts

First: Atlanta vs. Pittsburgh. The refs screwed up YET again. The time out right at the end and the take-away on the 62-yard FG. Bad enough they whistled it dead AFTER the snap. Even worse that they took away the FG. They should have had it reviewed by the booth and the score count.

Pathetic. The announcer even said it. The replay CLEARLY showed it. But the refs screw it up again.

Now granted, it's nicer to see the game go into OT and the Hawks pummel the Steelers like little bitches on their OT drive (longer than I would have driven, even in Madden) to win.

But it would be very nice to see the refs get it right in the first place.

Second: SCREW NEW ORLEANS! (Not really football related, but sort of since it was inspired by Bill Simmons' comments on how teams might be going easy on New Orleans since "they're already down, they need sports wins to feel better about themselves". To which I say "FUCK THAT!"

I am beyond sick and tired of hearing about "the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina". Tired of the PSAs, tired of Emeril's commercial on Food Network, all of it.

Yes, things got messed up because of government incompetence at every level. Yes, things are hard.

And yet, how many other areas of the hurricane-plagued areas like Mississippi are still messed up and in need of millions of dollars and our pity a year later?

Could it be because the city is populated by welfare whiners and parasites getting free trailers?

If the government wasn't giving these leeches freebies (and exactly how long is all this to last?) they might have some impetus to fix their own damn city.

The only Katrina shows is that letting liberal douches run cities is a recipe for disaster. And the welfare state is a complete failure that should have its plug pulled.

PLEASE Let This Get To The U.S. Supreme Court!

http://cbs13.com/reference/local_story_293151106.html

"A judge dismissed an indecent exposure charge against a woman accused of disrobing in front of a 14-year-old boy, saying the law only applies to men.

Superior Court Judge Robert W. Armstrong said earlier in the week that the law only mentions someone who "exposes his person."

"It's gender specific," Armstrong said."

And be upheld.

Fastest and easiest way to keep Hitlery Clinton out of office. God, I hate that foul c***.

That said, just how foul-looking must that woman be for a 14 year old to object to seeing her boobs?

But wait!!! Feministe objects! On what grounds?

From here

She says:
...without even getting into the question of whether a woman boxer could take on a man, let me just remind you of the concept of weight classes in boxing. See, the idea, Mike — and see if you can follow me here — is that weight classes allow two fairly evenly matched fighters to battle it out to see who’s better. Here, let me have a promoter explain it to you:

Russ Young, a promoter for Wolfe, said such a bout will never happen.

“That’s the first we’ve heard of it,” Young said. “No state would sanction that. She would be outweighed by 60 to 70 pounds. Ann would never entertain the idea.”

Weight classes? Reach?

I thought women could kick everyone's asses. They're ninjafied bitches that don't need anyone's protection, let alone a man's.

Shane got me thinking...

I have bad sleeping habits. I try to wake up for the Colts games on Sundays, I'm semi-successful. Therefore, I didn't see the whole thing Shane mentioned on his blog. Or maybe I was getting lunch at that point. I don't know.

Anyway... Shane said the fans should be mad at Peyton because Peyton got mad at the Colts home fans for making too much noise while the Colts were on offense.

Shane was comparing this to getting mad at a retarded thug bitch Stephen Jackson for being an idiot outside the basketball arena.

A few thoughts: How can ANY fan get mad at Peyton? He was TRYING TO WIN A GAME at the time. The fans were screwing the offense up and interfering with his audible calling on the line. Now, this was because of a replay shown on the Jumbo-trons. The fans are going to react to the (maybe) bad play calling, but I can't see anyone getting mad at Peyton for his reaction. That's just a silly way to look at it.

Shane's confusing a thirst to win with getting into a life-threatening scuffle at a strip club while he's supposed to be training, as Reggie said. Like I said, silly.

Another aside: The Colts are getting way too lucky. They deserve to be at .400 or .600 the way they've played this season thus far. But okay, that's football. They're undefeated, but I doubt they'll past the first round of playoffs*.

* ---- That they play in, that is. The Colts may get so lucky as to get the first round bye week again. And that worked sooooo well for them before, right?

But anyway, at what point does the home crowd noise become too much of an advantage? Should the NFL go to in helmet radios? I don't know. But sometimes the home team advantage seems to be just too much.

And is there anything to keep a team ownership from maximizing crowd noise via the stadium architecture? I would think it would be easy to do so. Are there regs against that, either?

Hmmmmm...

It's Be A Raghead Day At School, Mom!

Our brave new schools...

"The U.S. Supreme Court rejected an appeal Monday by evangelical Christian students and their parents who said a Contra Costa County school district engaged in unconstitutional religious indoctrination when it taught students about Islam by having them recite language from prayers.

The court, without comment, left intact a ruling by the Ninth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco last November in favor of the Byron Union School District in eastern Contra Costa.

The suit challenged the content of a seventh-grade history course at Excelsior Middle School in Byron in the fall of 2001. The teacher, using an instructional guide, told students they would adopt roles as Muslims for three weeks to help them learn what Muslims believe."

Wonderful. I knew about the lawsuit, didn't know the Supreme Court let the program stand.

Anyone with half a brain knows how this would have been shot down... no, better yet NEVER EVEN PROPOSED if it was a Christian or Jewish indoctrination program.

But because we're pussies in this country, we let our children be brainwashed with this bullshit.

BURLESON, Texas - Youngsters in a suburban Fort Worth school district are being taught not to sit there like good boys and girls with their hands folded if a gunman invades the classroom, but to rush him and hit him with everything they've got — books, pencils, legs and arms.

“Getting under desks and praying for rescue from professionals is not a recipe for success,” said Robin Browne, a major in the British Army reserve and an instructor for Response Options, the company providing the training to the Burleson schools.

***************

It is way past time for this. Allowing concealed carry permit holding teachers to carry at school (and universities for that matter) is a good start. Active resisitance is another needed step.

Yeah, you likely will have some kids and/or teachers killed. But is it better to have two kids killed resisting or 10 raped and executed like sheep?

During the Columbine shooting affair, one of the asshole killers unloaded both barrels of a double-barrelled shotgun. And no one charged him. More killing ensued.

Remember the Shoe Bomber asswipe? He wasn't stopped by the precious Air Marshalls in their finely-tailored and pressed 3 piece suits (because they're not ALLOWED to be under cover AND they have to declare themselves to the airline when they show up).

The folks held captive are the ones with their lives at risk, not the SWAT teams sitting around debating while letting the hostages die. They should resist and kill their attackers.

I just hope they kill the cowardly bastards instead of capturing them alive and having us spend tax dollars on their trials and incarceration.

Don't get on the internet, spout off, insult others, leave comments open and expect not to get a shitstorm in return.

Shane thinks critical thoughts contrary to his own are a threat and need to be removed.

But, hey! Fine. He wants to delete comments on his blog, that's his right.

But it does makes him look like an internet pussy, obviously unable to defend his ill-conceived notions or his homo-esque love of Stephen Jackson.

And Shane, you might want to rethink the whole point of your blog. If it's for anything more than folks to admire what a brilliant man you are, you might want to have comments that actually challenge what you think be able to be left for you to ponder. You might find it helps you grow as a person to be metaphorically slapped around every once in a while.

In other words, stop being such a defensive wuss boy.

STAR WARS! From Vox's blog comments...

"The Star Wars franchise is about the evils of centralized government. Inept soldiers included. Why else that Darth Vader had to kill so many high level officers? Those guys *were* stupid. Darth Vader DID have some good in him the whole time. He helped cull the stupid." ---- Speaking Up

over on Vox's blog

At first I was mad that you pointed out something ELSE stupid in the SW universe: the use of non-clone officers in an Empire of Clone Troopers.

But it makes sense. The Stormtrooper clones were deteriorating so their officers HAD to be replaced with normal humans. And none of those had any military experience since the previous wars were waged with the clones.

So you had the lame-ass stupid bureaucrats running the Imperial Forces and incessantly pissing Vader off. And since they're really worthless anyway, why not kill them off?

Lucas is so brilliant!! I'm sure he had all of this stuff thought out back when he wrote ANH. (That's "A New Hope", the original 1977 Star Wars for you non-geeks out there.)

An annoyingly Recurring theme In My Life

Why the hell do folks think they know everything?

As a course of action, I try to assume in any situation that there are things left unsaid about which I have not a clue. Doesn't much matter if it's purposely done or not. People rarely divulge all relevant information when talking about their lives. Blindness generated by personal involvement alone accounts for plenty of misunderstandings. Let alone deliberate omissions.

Let's call the annoying person Chuck. Chuck thinks that because he knows about a situation of mine that I am stupid for not doing what Chuck thinks is the right course of action. And it's really getting on my fucking nerves.

It's bad enough that I have to correct Chuck on his ignorance on certain situations. But to have Chuck constantly ignore what I say and stick to his dumbass advice is getting beyond retarded.

Here's a hint: If you think you know about someone but they pointedly tell you things you didn't already know, you're being proven to be at least partially ignorant on the subject. You are not going to make any points stupidly sticking to your same tired old guns in the face of directl contrary evidence. You just look dumber the more you do it.

So you might want to consider that your advice is worth as much as toilet paper after too much Raison Bran.

Just a thought for the day from someone who's always wrong about everything.

What are the laws or rules for citing web articles?

I'm wondering this: I always link to my sources when I cite something. (If I don't let me know!)

But I know most news sources don't have free public archived stories for very long. So if I link to something, that link is likely to be dead inside of a month.

But I don't want anyone scanning my blog and not knowing about what I was talking. So how much can I copy and paste on my blog before I run afoul of any laws? I don't really think anyone will sue me or anything, I'm just curious.

If I copy an entire news article verbatim, cite the source and provide a link am I breaking the law?

Labels: ,

Just when I thought I could not be surprised anymore...

EDIT: My original link's broke. Here's the part that stunned me, from HERE:

"A woman who gained national notoriety for writing a book about being raped, then abandoning her newborn in a college trash been has been sentenced to prison for being the rapist in the case.

Twyana Davis, 30, claimed in 1995 that she had been raped, appeared on television shows to tell her story.

She also formed a nonprofit group aimed to prevent teen pregnancies and provide alternatives for young mothers who didn't want to keep their babies.

But she also was harboring a secret: She wasn't raped. She was the rapist, Franklin County prosecutors said.

Davis was sentenced Tuesday in Common Pleas Court to 10 to 25 years in prison on a charge of rape. She had confessed to having a sexual relationship with a 12-year-old cousin, leading to her unwanted pregnancy."

You have to read this article to understand the unmitigated gall. I'm somewhat shocked. And I wasn't even stunned when Susan Smith was revealed to have drowned her kids herself. (The fact that I wasn't stunned or surprised bothered me much more than the fact of SS's crime. I was disturbed by my lack of disturbance literally for days.)

But THIS bitch has balls the size of Texas. What a total C***. I'd gladly pull the trigger myself.

My favorite bit:

"She then wrote the book "Sacred Womb" and formed the group, Second Chance of Life, leading to appearances on Oprah and 20/20."

Wow. Another lying bitch on Oprah! What a surprise. Can't Miss Winfrey just fill a college football stadium with her Sheep Followers, disperse the Purple Kool-Aid and let the rest of us live Oprah-free?

Quote:
In May 1776 Virginia alleged that the depreciation was attributable to people's refusal to accept the notes, or to the insistence on higher prices in terms of paper money than in coin, or by "other devices"; the following year the Virginia assembly blamed the depreciation on "the pernicious artifices of the enemies of American liberty, to impair the credit of the said bills, by raising the nominal value" of coin. The Massachusetts General Court spoke of "the avaricious conduct of many persons, by daily adding to the now exorbitant price of every necessary and convenient article of life."

End quote, from here:
http://www.mises.org/story/2340

The tune never changes. Governments rape the people. In the case of our own time (and for about 100 years now) via the Federal Reserve. Which is a conspiracy run by private banks to rape the U.S. "dollar" (look up the real definition of that Spanish word sometime).

And when the populace complains about the raping and/or acts against it, the government blames the people for not being compliant in helping rob themselves of their hard-earned wealth.

BTW: Wealth is NOT the same as money. Compare what a million dollar could buy in 1906 vs. today. Here's a hint: about 50 years ago, my grandparents bought their 2 story home (with full basement, attic, and a good deal of land) in Bedford, MA for around $5000. Now that won't even cover a year's worth of rental payments in the worst place in town. My brother was going to have to pay well over $2000 a month to rent a decent apartment. So in less than three months he'd have spent enough to buy my grandparents' home. I'm still stunned to think of it that way.

All because rich, evil bastards figured out how to rob us without most of us having a damn clue, other than on some instinctual level.

I don't have much of a point, just venting. I'm just so sick of seeing evil go unpunished in this world.

Continuing from the link:

"Let me close by bringing to your attention something I read not long ago in arguably the most prestigious historical journal in the English-speaking world. Now I realize I probably shouldn't be surprised at much of what I read in the professional journals, but I was really quite shocked, looking through the American Historical Review, to come across a 1929 article on Revolutionary War finance by Ralph Volney Harlow.

Wartime inflation, according to Harlow, was simply not that bad. Sure, people suffer under an inflated currency, since they see their savings sometimes dramatically reduced in value. But he reminded us that, after all, "what the public might lose in depreciation would be counterbalanced by the gain to the government of means to finance the war."

You don't say — the government is enriched to the extent that the public is looted. A real insight, that."

and finally...
"In the eighteenth century, people learned lessons from their wartime experience, and devotion to hard money was widespread in the years that followed. Today, the workings of the Federal Reserve are so obscure to most people that hardly anyone is even aware that there is a lesson to be learned in the first place. It is in just such an intellectual environment that government is able to get away with its greatest mischief."

Legalization for aliens a 'must,' Bush announces

Asshole Jorge Bush says:

"We will conduct this debate on immigration in a way that is respectful to our heritage," he said at a recent White House event honoring Hispanic Heritage Month. "We are a nation of law, and we will enforce our law.

"But at the same time, we must remember that in order to secure our borders, in order to make sure we fulfill our heritage, immigration reform must be comprehensive in nature. We must understand that you can't kick 12 million people out of your country; that we must figure out a way to say to those that if you're lawful and if you've contributed to the United States of America, there is a way for you to eventually earn citizenship."

So we are a nation of laws that rewards criminals.

Fuck this cocksucking faggot cheerleader bitch of a president.

The cumstain continues: "But everybody in our land understands these people must be treated with respect and dignity. There are citizenship lines for people from our neighborhood. People ought to be given a chance to get at the back of the citizenship line and have a chance."

They should get all the dignity any criminal gets. I hope someone nukes DC soon, just so long as Jorge, Cheney, the Supreme Court and all of Congress are in town.

They'd be doing Americans a major fucking favor.

Labels: , , ,

I'll make Jorge's enemy list yet!

"What would happen if a president just refused to go? To remove him, someone would have to act. Who? Little would be necessary to stop a coup, granted. A couple of helicopters of Marines landing across the street from the White House would be enough. The various federal police bully civilians well (ask Steve Hatfill *see the end of this post), but would find fighting real men another thing. But who in the military would have the courage to do it?"

The rest of the piece.

Take the time to read all of Fred's columns on the left. Great stuff. I don't agree with it all, but the man has lived a Hemingway-esque life.

I just have to remember to buy one of his books and see if it's worth the cash.

* Steve Hatfill is the accussed anthrax killer... strange we haven't heard much about that lately... Wiki Entry I somehow doubt the feds wouldn't have gotten a death penalty conviction by now if they had a shred of evidence.

Made for YOUR pleasure...

Your surfing pleasure that is. Bug Me Not is just about the coolest subversive thing out there. When I first started surfing, I would register for news sites all the time. It was a pain in the ass. Then I saw on Vox's blog how he would register as Han Solo or something like that. I took up doing that, but it was still stupid and a waste of time. (Even though I occassional still take surveys as a 99 year old Cambodian woman making in excess of $250K per annum.)

Enter BUG ME NOT! Really, you should. It's a way to stick it to the man, making them realize information ain't free. Give it a try.

Harvard study paints bleak picture of ethnic diversity

A bleak picture of the corrosive effects of ethnic diversity has been revealed in research by Harvard University's Robert Putnam, one of the world's most influential political scientists.

His research shows that the more diverse a community is, the less likely its inhabitants are to trust anyone – from their next-door neighbour to the mayor.

This is a contentious finding in the current climate of concern about the benefits of immigration. Professor Putnam told the Financial Times he had delayed publishing his research until he could develop proposals to compensate for the negative effects of diversity, saying it "would have been irresponsible to publish without that".

The core message of the research was that, "in the presence of diversity, we hunker down", he said. "We act like turtles. The effect of diversity is worse than had been imagined. And it's not just that we don't trust people who are not like us. In diverse communities, we don't trust people who do look like us."

Prof Putnam found trust was lowest in Los Angeles, "the most diverse human habitation in human history", but his findings also held for rural South Dakota, where "diversity means inviting Swedes to a Norwegians' picnic".

When the data were adjusted for class, income and other factors, they showed that the more people of different races lived in the same community, the greater the loss of trust. "They don't trust the local mayor, they don't trust the local paper, they don't trust other people and they don't trust institutions," said Prof Putnam. "The only thing there's more of is protest marches and TV watching."

British Home Office research has pointed in the same direction and Prof Putnam, now working with social scientists at Manchester University, said other European countries would be likely to have similar trends.

His 2000 book, Bowling Alone, on the increasing atomisation of contemporary society, made him an academic celebrity. Though some scholars questioned how well its findings applied outside the US, policymakers were impressed and he was invited to speak at Camp David, Downing Street and Buckingham Palace.

Prof Putnam stressed, however, that immigration materially benefited both the "importing" and "exporting" societies, and that trends "have been socially constructed, and can be socially reconstructed".

In an oblique criticism of Jack Straw, leader of the House of Commons, who revealed last week he prefers Muslim women not to wear a full veil, Prof Putnam said: "What we shouldn't do is to say that they [immigrants] should be more like us. We should construct a new us."

I have to say this bears out with experience. The only ones in diverse neighborhoods with free reign tend to be the punk thugs. Which in my neighborhood means the black teenagers. They try to intimidate everyone around and make themselves very annoying. All because they feel pathetic and impotent in society, so they overcompensate by trying to be the big swinging cock masters.

Dumbasses.

A Weird Motorcycling perspective

Okay, a NON-angry post by Mikey! What a concept...

After getting back from Boston, I sort of lost my enthusiasm for riding my little Ninja. I noticed it right away and it really annoyed me. I used to love getting on my bike for any reason, be it work or errands or just to get lost putting.

But after that 2000+ trip, I just didn't like getting on it anymore. It seemed drab, boring and didn't grab my balls the way it used to. And I wondered when the drabness would go away.

Well it did. Just today. I went out to return a library book and I was into it again. Completely. I then happily went to the bookstore, then got some groceries so I can make some Italian Stuffed Peppers.

Thank goodness. I really missed that sensation.

And I just got it back...
Just...
in time for...
snow............
this week...
man, luck really bites sometimes.

(Whiskey Tango Foxtrot is SNOW doing showing up in OCTOBER!!! I can usually ride well into NOVEMBER and we're getting DAMN SNOW!!!)

Okay, so it's not a completely anger-free post... give me a break. I'm depressed about life in general lately.

Liberal tolerance on parade

So you have vapid views on immigration and can't even start to argue your side? No problem.

Use mob violence!

Columbia University is just another liberal shithole breeding anti-intellectuals. They're all over the place, can't form a coherent argument and violently oppose dissenting views.

How are they any better than the Nazi book burners? Hmmmm.... I can't think of any reason. But what do you expect from folks in the Ivy League? Thank you, liberal douches for showing your true Nazi colours. (And yes, Virgina! The Nazis were leftist socialist totalitarians. If you had a clue, you'd know that.)

Good Will Hunting had it right. These stupid bitches spend a $100K on an education you could get for $15 in library late fees. All for indoctrination in an ideology that is anti-liberty, anti-intellectual and anti-real-world-experience.

These libtards do not understand that there will be a reckoning when they push the American people too damn far. It's already starting in Europe. It will happen here, sooner or later. And it will be a bloody, chaotic mess and the illegal wetbacks and their liberal douche ilk will lose.

Personally, I'm still stunned the blacks are keeping quiet about the swamping of the United States with the Beano Wetbacks. I can't believe the streets aren't filled with more gunfire between the two groups.

From the Wall Street Journal

Tax Tidal Wave
October 6, 2006; Page A14

Congress keeps breaking the Beltway Book of World Records for spending money, but the government will soon report that the federal budget deficit for the just-completed 2006 fiscal year fell to about $260 billion.

What's the secret of this deficit success that you aren't reading much about this election year? It isn't spending restraint. The federal budget expanded to $2.7 trillion last year, a 9% increase, or three times the inflation rate. Over the past six years the federal budget has increased by 49.2%.

The main cause of the deficit decline -- 90% of it, says White House budget director Rob Portman -- is a tidal wave of tax revenue. Tax collections have increased by $521 billion in the last two fiscal years, the largest two-year revenue increase -- even after adjusting for inflation -- in American history. If you're surprised to hear that, it's probably because inside Washington this is treated as the only secret no one wants to print. On the few occasions when the media pay attention to the rise in tax collections, they scratch their heads and wonder where this "surprising" and "unexpected windfall" came from.

One place it has come from are corporations, whose tax collections have climbed by 76% over the past two years thanks to greater profitability. Personal income tax payments are up by 30.3% since 2004 too, despite the fact that the highest tax rate is down to 35% from 39.6%. The IRS tax-return data just released last month indicates that a near-record 37% of those income tax payments are received from the top 1% of earners -- "the rich," who are derided regularly in Washington for not paying their "fair share."

More good news is that dividend-tax payments appear to be up as well, even though the tax rate was lowered to 15% from as high as 39.6%. A National Bureau of Economic Research study found that "after a continuous decline in dividend payments over more than two decades, total regular dividends have grown by nearly 20%" and that this reversal happened at "precisely the point at which the lower tax rate was proposed and subsequently applied retroactively." There hasn't been a purer validation of the Laffer Curve since Ronald Reagan rode off into the sunset.

As for the budget deficit, at $260 billion it is now about 2% of our $13 trillion economy, well below the 2.7% average of the last 40 years. Most states and localities are also afloat in tax collections, and including their revenue surpluses brings the total U.S. public sector borrowing down to roughly 1.5% of GDP. Not too shabby given that we're waging a war on terrorism and Congress spent $50 billion last year on Hurricane Katrina clean-up.

Anyway, we thought our taxpaying readers might like to know how much you've all been contributing to the falling deficit -- the best-kept secret in Washington."

END ARTICLE - BEGIN RANT

Which should mean that if we leave Iraq and stop the foreign adventures, we would be in a surplus in no time, right? I won't hold my breath.

Had your BS quota for today? No? Let me help...

USA Today article

"HOUSTON (AP) — A group of illegal immigrants who worked for Wendy's International Inc. is suing the restaurant chain because the company fired them after discovering it had missed a deadline for joining a federal program that would have helped them attain legal status.

...

Between the two lawsuits, 40 illegal immigrants say they were fired after the company recently found that Boyar & Miller, the law firm Wendy's had hired, never filed paperwork for a 2001 legalization program that allowed immigrants with employer sponsorship or an American spouse to apply for citizenship.

Once the discovery was made, Wendy's was forced by law to fire the employees because of their illegal status. Immigrants in the program would have been insulated from being fired."

Okay, a few questions here. WHY THE FUCK do we have program to let companies make illegals legal? WHY THE FUCK is it the employer's job to make sure the paperwork's filed for these illegal-should-have-been-buzzard-bait bean-smelling fucks?

I am beyond sick of this bullshit. Put up the minefields and sniper towers. Kick them out, even if they have anchor babies. If they don't have someone LEGAL to watch over their little bastards, kick the kids out with the parents.

Fuck Aztlan.

Fuck El Fuckhead Presidente Fox.

Fuck the MS-13 gangs.

Fuck the Wetback Army violating our borders.

AND FUCK EL PRESIDENTE JORGE BUSH FOR VIOLATING HIS OATH OF OFFICE AND SELLING OUR COUNTRY OUT.

I think George needs to eat more goddamned pretzels with every meal until he repeats his act from a few years ago. With more permanent results.

I miss Dunkin Donuts!

I do. I really, really, really, really do. I swear they put Heroin into their batter. I ate many various varieties on my whole vacation and didn't get a single bad donut.

It was quite strange on my trip to Boston last month. After I rode into New Jersey, all the Starbucks disappeared and in their place: DUNKIN DONUTS! Now I remember liking their donuts. But I loved them on my trip. I don't know what it was, but I could not get enough of them. (It certainly wasn't how every location served my hot tea at such a high temperature that it scalded the hell out of my tongue.)

To make matters worse, there is (maybe) a whole single Dunkin Donuts location in all of Indianapolis. It's about ten minutes away. Who knows if it's even open anymore. I'll be calling them tomorrow and maybe trekking down there this weekend for my Dunkin Donut fix.

Man, I really hope it's there and not a crappy location like the one on the NorthWest side of Indy used to be. But I just thought to check the most recent Indy Yellow Pages and they're not listed. My hopes may be dashed to pieces.

Pray for me and my donut fix.

Murdering prisoners? Let's cheer!

National Review's Corner Blog

Copied in its entirety:

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
WWII [Jonah Goldberg]
From a reader:

Jonah,
Pertaining to your question of whether our soldier's behaved like summer camp councilors in past wars I have this story which is my favorite to throw in the face of self-righteous leftys when they ever talk about the horrors of our military in this day and age. I saw it on the Discovery Channel and it's from WWII.
Our soldiers had just captured a concentration camp that had a few thousand Jewish prisoners and a good number of German guards. Our Army medical staff was tending to the the sickest of the prisoners and trying not to allow them to drink or eat too much or they would die. One of the army medics had run out of water and had told one of two captured German guards standing by to go fetch some water. The guard refused to get water since it was going to be given to a Jew. The doctor asked the same guard again, this time more forcefully, and again he refused so the doctor pulled out a gun and shot him in the head. After his body dropped to the ground the doctor ordered the other guard to get water and he complied.
Wow, what would Amnesty International and Human Rights watch have to say about that?

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

I really don't care what Amnesty International or Human Rights would say. If this story is true, that was cold-blooded murder. And the reader writing to Mr. Goldberg would certainly seem to imply that it was a good thing.

So a human being refuses to become a slave to his captors and gets killed for it? Then the medic implicitly threatens another human's life to force him to be a slave to his captors? And this is all okay? Just because they were Germans?

No wonder El Presidente Jorge Bush gets so much support. Murder's okay, just so long as you're an "undesirable". And I find it very interesting that Mr. Goldberg goes without commenting one way or another. I would guess he supports that sort of thing, only because he doesn't condemn it.

I also thought medics were not allowed to be armed? Am I wrong on that?

Baahstan trip, Day Three, Friday September 1st - Part Two!!

It seems that I am a bit behind here. I will have been back home for 3 weeks before I finish typing up the report of the whole trip. But that will still be faster than my brother Dave mails my package. So much for having my favorite pair of shoes anytime soon. Anyway... picking up right where I left off...

So I rode into Mystic, down onto the road running parallel to the water's edge. I passed a pretty looking cemetery (which I neglected to photograph) and zipped right on by Kitchen Little. That was Rachael Ray's first stop on her show and I found it without trying. One of the few fortuitous happenstances of the trip.

So I turned around, parked my Ninja out front and went on in. Kitchen Little, as I noted in an earlier post, was on Rachael Ray's "$40 A Day" show. I'd looked online to see at what three places she'd dined. The place is a tiny shack, with hardly any seating inside. The waitress asked if I would like to go outside. I agreed. I'm glad I did. Despite the gloom of the sky, the scenery was nice and eating outside is not something I do too often. Seating being scarce outside as well as in, I was seated with a group of three.

Feeling uncharacteristically freindly, I introduced myself. My brunch companions were Charley, Deb and Alexa. Charley was an older guy and a Hardley rider. Deb was (I'm guessing) his girlfriend and Alexa was Deb's daughter. She was around 13, I would guess. All three were from New York City, which I tried not hold against them. Alexa promptly informed me that laughing consumes three calories. After hearing this factoid the third time, I asked from where she'd gleaned this helpful information. It seems she learned this from Dr. Stephen Urkel of the Family Matters Institute. For some vague reason, I was a tad bit skeptical.

Charley and I talked motorcycles for the most part. They were all surprised I was riding 1000 miles for a trip. He said the Harley lets him ride all day at way over the speed limits in comfort. Personally, I don't want to be too isolated from the road while riding. It seems to this rider that this could easily lead to complacency and, eventually, a really bad wreck.

I mentioned that I was thinking about renting a Harley for a day on Cape Cod and he said "You'll never want to get on that little bike again." I wouldn't mind riding one for a day. But I'd never buy one, at least not a new one. I would much rather get a Victory touring bike than a Harley any day. Less snobbery involved, I'm guessing. Too many Harley riders look down on those that ride anything else. Which is funny since I think just about every Japanese cruiser out there outperforms Harleys with smaller engine sizes.

I ordered a "Portugese Fisherman" breakfast without the cheese and a sideof potatoes. Here's what the recipe looks like: "Portugese Fisherman"

The breakfast was good, but not nearly as spicy as I'd hoped. I decided against drenching the eggs with hot sauce since I was going to be on the road for a few more hours. The Portugese Muffin served with was almost just like an English Muffin, only sans the large craters inside and with a sweet taste. It was a welcome new culinary experience. I am guessing I might have liked the eggs more with the cheese, but I am not usually a cheese person unless it is on pizza.

When they cleared our plates, I had an awful thought. I asked if they took plastic and they don't. Now this might have been helpful to know beforehand since I had zero dollars in my wallet. I mean, you're running a eatery in a tourist trap town and you don't take cards? Too stupid. You would think they would have a BIG sign saying "no cards" on the door!

Luckily, I had just enough toll change in my tail bag for the meal and a decent tip. After counting out twelve or more dollars in small change and paying, I went out to my bike and retrieved my camera for a picture of Charley & Co. We said our goodbyes and I got back on the bike and returned to I-95.

Somewhere along the way after crossing into Rhode Island I stopped at Dunkin Donuts and gave my brother Dave a call. He said he would not be home until about 5. I called my younger brother Jason to see what he was doing. He, Shane and his girlfriend Leetha were planning to go see a movie and I didn't have time to get to there before it started. (I guess cancelling their movie plans to meet me would have been out of the question.) So I continued on my way.

Traffic was pleasantly light until I got into Providence, where it stopped completely a few times and slowed to a crawl for much, much longer. If it sounds as if I whine about traffic too much, I admit I do. I have a two or three mile commute to work every day. I am NOT used to sitting in stopped traffic and I have a short fuse when it happens.

Looking at the map, trying to refresh my memory, I see that I could have had a much nicer ride if I'd gone out of my way. Look at a map of Rhode Island. I could have gone over to Route 138 from I-95, then of the Route 138. I could have spent a good part of the trip on bridges and in the salty breezes, gone through Newport and on north to Plymouth. Instead I got exhausted (by the fumes) and frustration. Hindsight is 20/20, of course.

So I continued up I-96 and over to Route 44, crossing into Massachusetts. 44 starts off in Providence and is really just a big city street until you get out of town. It then is a nice, quiet (albeit boring and way too straight) country road. At least until you get close to Plymouth. There it turns into a modern and even more boring divided highway. I soon got to Dave's new house, without him being there. I took off the bags and went into the center of Plymouth to sightsee a bit. It was nice seeing the water and the harbor again. I stopped at another Dunkin Donuts (are you seeing a theme here?) and watched the rush hour traffic go on by. (I just remembered I never checked my Mass Lotto ticket I bought that day. I could be rich and not even know it!)

Soon Dave was home and my trip out there had come to a blissful end. The ride out there was pretty rough on my neophyte self. More than once I'd seriously considered turning back home and forgetting the whole thing. But I am glad I did it. Next year, I will be trailering the bike out there and back in the pickup I will be acquiring within a few days.

I will continue with some nice (and cute!) vacation pics and posts about the rest of the vacation and my return trip soon. But it's very late and I have work in less than 6 hours. Good night!

Whiskey Tango Foxtrot?

What a bunch of sheep!

So now a NY public school holds PARENTS in detention for dropping their kids off late. Under what authority? If they tried this with me, I'd just leave. What, are they going to pull a gun to keep you there? F*** that.
