What Now?

I was thinking a lot of things over last night... pissed off at myself and the world into which I've stumbled, but mostly roads not taken... and in the middle of my fuming I found a coffee mug that said "Life Isn't About Finding Yourself. Life is About Creating Yourself".

I felt like chucking the mug across the grocery store. Because it was one of those "all too damned appropriate at this particular time" things.

Guess I better get busy, huh?

Definitely NOT Just A Four Piece Jazz Kit...

"Amazing" is completely inadequate to describe this guy.

EDIT:
Okay, a little more on TB: every drum on that massive kit is tuned to a specific NOTE. He has both diatonic and chromatic notes on his kit. Therefore he can actually play distinct melodies on his toms.

He can also play two different rhythms with each of his each on his foot pedals while playing melodically on the top toms. (I've seen his do this in person twice. It's stunning to watch.)

Two stories, one column. The 2nd is the more striking to me. It helps smash the idea that private individuals and organizations can't "help the poor". I read someone else saying governments have to do charity since "no one else would do it". I think that "reasoning" is bullshit.

How can anyone expect folks to be able to afford to give time or money to the needy when our government eats fully half of the productivity in this country?

Yet this guy described does amazing things without a grant from the UN or any other gov't. Read it. Well worth the time spent.
