Lousy Day...

Sullen grey skies all day turned to a loud and stormy night. The day matched my mood, slightly foreboding, with uncertain ends. Now the insistent patter of rain on the overhang above my porch is an unwelcome guest and the thunder keep me from killing strangers over the internet til the wee hours.

The late hours loom again and my PC is lousy company. I'm tired of being contentious all the time to faceless names, though it does oft amuse.

Weariness lowers my eyelids and the crossroads appear once more. How much longer to linger without choosing a path...

The dark clouds slip on by, no sounds but my clothes tumbling in the dryer. Bursts of rain come back and leave again.

(Just a quick writing exercise, stream of consciousness... more negative sounding than I really feel... What does THAT say?)

I JUST Got "Butterfly Effect"-ed!

So I remember watching the preview for "The Butterfly Effect" and thinking "They ripped off my brother Jason's idea!".

I just watched a preview for "Next" and had the same phenomenon happen to me.

Shit. Just goes to show you should write and copyright your stuff!

Funny And True

Over at Vox's, there's a post on writing. It caused me to remember this:

The hardest time I ever had NOT laughing out loud was in my creative writing class. A girl wrote a short story where a girl and her fiance had a head-on collision then BOTH got amnesia! Then they bumped into one another and fell in love, never knowing they had already done so.

I was in tears with my face in my copy of her story, ATTEMPTING to keep my shoulders from heaving and failing miserably.

Wow. I'm chuckling out loud remembering just how close I came to yelling "OH, COME ON!!!".

I'd have to say that was the worst story I've ever read.

And the girl was really cute and I had thought about asking her out. She really didn't like my reaction though. I wonder why...

My brother Jason knew the girl from high school, I can't remember her name. Man, that was funny though.
