Heather MacDonald writes great stuff on NYC crime. She's not afraid to call out PC stupidity when she sees it.

I don't like cops as a rule. Their attitudes SUCK and way too many of them are on serious power trips.

And I am sympathetic to blacks griping about stereotyped. But, sooner or later, reality intrudes.

If you're a young black man, expect to be looked at as a suspect. Especially in shitty areas of town. It's better to be more cautious when dealing with cops then wind up dead because you're fronting and the cops panicked.

I am growing to despise the tactics cops use, but if I'm pulled over I'm keeping my hands visible and my demeanor calm even if I'm essentially telling him to fuck off.

Whites are about 29 percent of the population in Los Angeles but last year were only 4 percent of the city’s murder victims and 2 percent of its known murder suspects."

Mull those numbers over in your head for a few minutes. They're staggering when you think about it.

Blacks are over-represented as murder suspects by a factor of 3.6.

Whites are UNDER-represented by a factor of 14.5%.

I'm not statistician (so I'm sure I'm not using the correct terminology), but that looks REALLY bad.

Is This A Black Motorcycle Thing And I Just Can't Understand?

Why does it seem as though a good number of black motorcyclists have stretched-out bikes? It's usually on crotch rockets, but I just saw a very long and low cruiser, which had obviously been stretched out.

And they are always black guys riding these things. In fact, I think I see more black guys (no black women so far) with that are stretched than black guys on non-stretched bikes.

Is there an advantage to this? Or is it just aesthetics? I'm not getting it.

Anyone have anything to add?
